Two years ago my 11 year old Maltese Patty passed away. She was my whole world and I am still heartbroken. She had health problems most of her life, so I had to provide an expert level of care to her with medications, a special diet, etc. Caring for her while she was struggling so mightily with her health really reaffirmed my love for dogs and for being a caregiver to them. My boyfriend and I recently adopted an Australian Shepherd mix puppy named Willow. It was difficult for me to welcome a new dog into my life after losing my pup Patty, but it has so far been such a rewarding experience and we are slowly adapting to being pet owners again. I am really excited to bring new dogs into our home and am committed to making sure that Willow is kind and well-behaved for all of our doggy visitors. I have had dogs since I was a child and I am totally comfortable walking, feeding, grooming, playing, and administering medication to any dog. If your dog prefers to just lay around and get some attention I am down for that too! Nobody will treat your pet better than me or take this responsibility more seriously. Please understand that I have a full-time job, and my pet care business is something that I do because I truly enjoy it. I will gladly open my home to your pet, but I need to be certain that it is a safe situation for us both. I require the following for all dogs that I board in my home: - Current on all vaccinations or documentation from a veterinarian of titers - Must have an active flea and tick treatment or documentation from a veterinarian if these treatments cannot be used - Your pet must not be aggressive towards other dogs. - Our unit is located on the third floor, so your dog must be able to go up and down lots of stairs unless they are small enough to be carried. Please also note that I live with my boyfriend Jonathan and he will be helping me care for your pet at times. He is a huge animal lover, but I know that some dogs can be fearful or aggressive towards males. If you would like to meet Jonathan, he would be happy to participate in a meet-and-greet with me.
