Pet care experience
Hi :) My name is Danielle, and I am currently attending university to earn my B.S. in Marine Biology. I intend to earn my Ph.D. in the coming years in preparation of conducting research on corals and teaching as a university professor. I have one dog of my own, Delilah, who I care for full-time as well as my parents' dog, Bailey, who I care for when I visit. Additionally, I have experience working with dogs at an animal shelter. This experience gave me skills such as daily cleaning of kennels, spending time training and caring for multiple ages of dogs, dealing with sick/elderly/aggressive dogs, administering medicine, bathing dogs, etc. As a busy college student and a lifelong animal lover, I am eager to earn some extra money caring for others' fur babies!

For my drop-in clients, I intend to make sure the pet is comfortable in its space. This includes taking it outside to go to the bathroom if necessary, feeding them if necessary, and generally spending some time with them to pass the time until their pawrent comes back home. Maybe we can play with their favorite toy, or maybe I can offer some cuddle time! I intend to try my best to care for each pet according to my client and their pet's preferences. For my walking clients, I intend to walk the pet as long as their ability allows. Treats will be available (if allowed!), and water will be provided. It is important to me that I pay close attention to the pet's limitations so that their walk time will be enjoyable for them. Cuddles will be provided for a good job when we arrive back to their home. For both services, I am prepared to provide as many pictures/updates that the pawrent wants!

A typical day
I love to play with pets with their toys. Whether it be tossing a ball or playing tug-o-war with a rope, I love to add fun stimulation to a pet's day. I am prepared to walk each pet around their neighborhood for as long as they are comfortable. Additionally, if the pawrent is comfortable, I can drive the pet to a nearby park or even to the beach!

Availability
As a full-time college student and a part-time laboratory intern, as well as a dog mom myself, my schedule is quite busy and tends to change. However, I am fully prepared to keep each of my clients updated on my availability. Currently, my weekends are available, and I would love to discuss any week availability individually!
