Hi! I'm Danielle, and I love dogs! I'm 37, and my family has had 4 Shih Tzus over the years, starting from when I was 1 year old. My husband and I adopted an older Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix in 2020, and he is the chillest, most relaxed dog in the world. You can spot us around Asbury Park or find him on Instagram with the username hi_im_deacon. I've been walking and sitting dogs and cats on Rover and Wag since 2017 and I have a 5 star rating! I have experience with all sizes of dogs and a variety of breeds. I can handle rowdy, pulling puppies on walks and will toss toys across your living room for fetch for days. I am also happy to do drop ins to hang out with your cat (or quietly sit nearby if your cat is shy). I love breaking out Portrait Mode for especially cute pics of your pet! I'm available for walks and drop ins around the Asbury Park area, and can also take on short-term house-sitting requests.

Danielle did an amazing job staying with Jules during my most recent work trip. She sent regular pics and updates, managed his medication, gave him all the couch cuddles he could handle and helped adjust the booking when my flight was unexpectedly cancelled. I am careful to keep your pets inside and in the areas they belong. On walks, I hold the leash looped around my wrist to keep it secure, and use two hands for pullers. I'll keep them away from other dogs on the walk unless told otherwise.

Let me know the routine your pet prefers and their feeding schedule. If they have any quirks or issues, like leash pulling, chasing animals, barking at other dogs, or eating goose poop, please let me know so I can be prepared!
A typical day
On walks, I'll take your pup on a loop near your place. I love to walk by the water where possible, be it a lake or on the boardwalk in the off-season. Our walking time is usually about 20-25 minutes so we have some time for fresh water and food/treats back home. I'll also do a bit of playing to help them settle back in at home before I leave. For cat drop-ins, I clean their litter box and put out fresh food and water. I'll sit somewhere in your home that invites your cat to hang out with me if they choose to do so -- and I am happy to provide pets and cuddles if they like that!!
