Hi all! I am a registered veterinary technician who is looking to care for your pets in my spare time! I have a full time veterinary medicine job at a clinic in KC,KS. I am comfortable with dogs/cats/small mammals, no size/breed/age judgements on my end. I’ll love and care for them like they were my own! Along with that, my professional care is at around 5 years with schooling/career in the veterinary field, however I’ve been caring for animals big and small since I was in elementary school. While I do have a full time job, my compassion for animals drives me to try and give your animals the care and attention they deserve when you are away. I pride myself on making your pets (and you as well) feel comfortable with me so that when you leave, or can’t be with your pet, you know they are getting the care they deserve. Ready and excited when you are! Just as an add on: I am moving May 17th (across country) unfortunately so I won’t be available for any services around and after this date!

This was our first time using rover and are pleased with the service. Our dog Sasha had a great stay with Danielle. She gave us regular updates each day and even sent photos. Sasha had plenty of space to herself which was very nice. Highly recommend and we will be scheduling with Danielle in the near future!
Danielle did a great job. She is conscientious and obviously cares about animals. Was excellent at communicating with us and kept us in the loop during our absence. We would definitely request her in the future!
Danielle is wonderful! She communicated with us throughout the entire process, and our cat loved her. She sent videos and pictures so we could see how well they were getting along, and it was very comforting to know our cat was not only getting fresh food and water each day, but also some pets and a few minutes of affection :-) Would definitely hire Rover and Danielle again!
Danielle was great with my pups!! 😊 reliable and many photos and let me know how each visits went. Definitely will be keeping her for the future visits as well

Depending on the service used (walking/drop-ins/cat/special needs/senior pets/etc.) I use my skills as a professional animal caretaker to determine the correct course of action. I am constantly learning on the job as well as pursuing outside courses on best ways of stress free animal handling as well as safe handling and care. It’s hard to say exactly how I would treat each situation as each pet is an individual and requires their own unique way of handling. Safety of your pets and your trust in me is of upmost importance.

In general, I would love to know anything unique in terms of food/habits/medications/behaviors towards strangers and other animals. I’m pretty flexible in terms of the animals I watch and what they each need, I would just like to know this information so I can make sure that my presence with your dog will be a good thing for their mental and physical well-being.
A typical day
If I am pet sitting for you, I will respect your boundaries on where your dog likes to walk. If there are no special requests I’d love to explore the neighborhood or a nearby park with your pups! If your pup is with me in Independence, I have a park within 10-15 minute walk from me that many other pup owners and parents with children attend daily!

Availability
I work a full time job at a veterinary clinic however my schedule tends to stay the same. Monday and Wednesday I work 7:20-5pm. Tuesday and Friday I work 7:20-12pm. Thursday I work until 6pm. I also do work a Saturday 1-3 times over two months from 7:20-2pm, however I know my schedule at least 1-1.5 months in advance so I will be able to work around things if need be.
