Loving Dog-a-Holic

Pet care experience

Hi, friends! I took a hiatus from Rover to catch up on life. I am now back, and ready to meet all the furry friends in the Sarasota area! A quick bit about me: I am an animal lover. Growing up I was not allowed to have pets because of my mother's allergies, but would always give the best care for my friends' pets. I have been a part of this awesome Rover community for over seven years (wow) now, and have met some incredible people, some I now call family. I have both walked and sat (and even lived with) a variety of dog breeds, shapes, and sizes. Each has a different personality and unconditional love I look forward to interacting with every time. I am a server and work at Ophelia's, and always want people to know that I do have a job that keeps me away for 5-6 hours at a time. Some pups can't be alone for that long and I completely understand! I do have a pretty flexible schedule since I work nights, but always want to make sure your doggo's needs are met first. Dogs seem to take to me very well because I'm rather petite and don't pose a very big threat only being 4'11. I am looking forward to meeting you and your beloved pup pups!!

Danielle was our first ever dog sitter and she made the experience effortless. She was very flexible with meeting us and our two older dogs in advance and was always punctual. Her upbeat energy immediately put our dogs at ease. Danielle kept us updated with photos each day and even went as far as washing and drying any linens she used while here. We highly recommend her!

I had a great experience with Danielle during her stay at my home watching my dog and cat while I was away. The animals were well cared for and she went above and beyond making sure the house was neat and organized upon my return. Thanks again Danielle for allowing me to have my mind at ease while traveling, knowing the pets were taken care of.

Danielle did a great job with my corgis. One has special needs & can be challenging to keep on a schedule, she was very patient with her. Will use her again!

Absolutely fantastic. Our dog has separation anxiety to the extreme. Along with that, he does not warm up to new people very easily. Because of this, leaving him on trips is very stressful to both us and him. But we're glad to have found Danielle. Every move she made had our dog's best interest in mind. She was very respectful of him and his personality. She even bought him new tennis balls because she noticed that playing ball was his way of building trust. She was awesome at communicating and left our house better then how she found it. We would not hesitate to call her again.

Safety, trust & environment

I always ask owners if the dog is reactive on walks, and if there are any dogs in the neighborhood that they just don't seem to get along with and what time the owners usually perform their walks, feedings, etc. I don't want to disrupt a routine. I also ask if there are any quirks a dog may have and/or allergies. I also want to know how the dog (god for bid) reacts to a vet visit in case of an emergency.

Home

Information Danielle D. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know if there are any medical conditions, diet restrictions, or other dog aggression before sitting, because I want to make sure the well being of the dog is out first. I also want to know of any allergies, and be provided with veterinary information in case of an emergency.

A typical day

If allowed by the owner, I am willing to take a dog for a long walk outside of the neighborhood; i.e. the Ringling Bridge, Benderson Park, Legacy Trail. Also playing in a secured, fenced area can be a fun time for playing ball, running around, and just being silly. I have tried to sometimes implement new tricks (and practice old ones) if they are into the activity.
