Hello, my name is Danielle and I can't wait to meet your pets! I joined Rover.com because I have a passion for animals and I believe when you leave your pet in my care you can rest assured that he/she is in great hands! Before becoming a stay at home mom one of my jobs as a Vet Tech was at the Houston SPCA where I gained experience with dogs of all breeds,shapes,sizes,and temperaments and I understand the different needs they sometimes require. When a pet is left in my care I do not expect them to behave as they normally do around their owners right away. It is perfectly normal for them to be nervous, anxious, or afraid when their owners leave them for a time. When I care for pets such as these, I spend as much time as I can slowly building trust and reassuring them that everything is okay. For all of the other happy go lucky, and never meets a stranger type of pets we will play and go for walks right away! After leaving the shelter I went on to work for a veterinary specialist as a surgical technician. I also have experience working with patients in clinics. I'm comfortable medicating pets as needed and any other special needs they may have I am certain I can assist with! I decided I wanted to stay home with my daughter while she is young so I dont miss those precious moments, but I do miss being around dogs and cats all day long! I am home all day long with my 2 year old and our friendly Labrador named Finn. Pups stay in the house and we have a fenced in yard behind our home for potty breaks and exercise! I also have experience with farm animals!
