Pet care experience
My experience with pet care goes back about 10+ years. I have taken care of and fostered kittens who grew up to become senior pets. I also have 6 years of experience with my rescue dog. I am familiar with reactive/anxious animals and the behaviors associated with that, so it will not scare me if your pet needs a little extra love and care. The same goes for any pet, dog or cat, that may be a little shy or timid at first. I understand it takes time, patience, and love to earn the trust of animals and that's not something I will never rush or force on a pet. I am fully willing to interact on their terms :) I am CPR and first aid trained and certified so you can have peace of mind that your pets are in good hands should an emergency occur. Being a housekeeper for 4 years, I became quite comfortable with some of my client's pets even getting paid extra to feed and take them out on walks. Ultimately meaning, I can keep a clean home AND a happy pet!

As usual, Daniela was reliable and trustworthy and paid special attention to our cat’s health concerns, allowing us to have a stress free holiday.
Daniela was very flexible and accommodating when we had a last minute health-related issue with our cat, and was ready to step in and help administer medicine had we needed it. Cannot recommend her enough.

I am more than comfortable staying with your furry friend in their home as I completely understand a pet's need for a stable environment and routine. I also love being active and taking walks around the neighborhood so whether your pet likes being out and about or is more of a couch potato, I can match their vibe! If any additional requirements are needed for the pet's care (i.e. medication, being crated, bathing, etc.) I take direction very well and would love to learn their exact routines to stick to.

I can best care for your pet if I have a good understanding of: *What their day to day routines are. (Feeding times, frequency of walks/potty breaks, any kind of ongoing training etc.) *How they are on walks. (Do they pull? Do they use a harness? etc.) *How they are around other dogs and people. *What their general temperament is like (playful, laid-back, anxious, etc.) *Do I need to administer medication at any point? Pets are just like humans in the sense that we all have different personalities, needs, and preferences!
A typical day
Whether you are booking a housesitting, a drop-in, or a walk, I aim to give full loving attention to your pet while I am there with them. If play time is important, you can bet that I'll be right there throwing a ball for fetch or playing tug-of-war with a toy. If you have a more food motivated kid, we can definitely do some treat filled puzzles, kongs, or command games. Perhaps walking the neighborhood or local parks and sniffing around is their favorite activity? Well good news is I love being outdoors and it would be my pleasure to enjoy that with them! And if your pet is more of a sleepy sweetie that loves belly rubs and head scratches, I'll be curled up right next to them giving all the love they deserve. Physical and mental stimulation paired with the ultimate comfortability makes for a very happy pet and giving pets their ideal day every time I am with them, is the goal!
