Treat your dogs, make ‘em happy!

Pet care experience

Dogs hold a special place in my life and in the life of my partner’s. I was fortunate enough to grow up with a dog while my partner grew up with 5 Labrador Retrievers. I spent 16 years with my family’s Cocker Spaniel, Chloe. Throughout college, I pet sat for relatives and friends, where I would spend up to three weeks caring for their dogs. Multiple walks a day were taken, medicine was administered, baths were given, and plenty of playtime occurred. Now that we have Denali,

Dan. Is. Amazing. He has been puppy sitting our sweet Piper since she was a pup. We don't trust our special girl with just anyone, but when we do need someone, Dan is our go to !

Daniel has watched my dog a number of times in the last 5 years. He is an amazing dog sitter who makes sure my pup gets walks, plays, and has a cozy space in his home. I feel extremely comfortable leaving her with Daniel and completely recommend him to anyone who needs a dog sitter!

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a 1200 sq. ft. townhouse apartment with a dog door that leads to a fenced patio. In addition, the community is dog friendly with many dogs around. I have multiple plants in my living spaces, all of which have been researched and most are deemed safe for pets, the ones that are not are out of reach. Dogs are allowed on our furniture and beds. Griset Park is 1 mile away, Wakeham Park is 0.5 mile away. On average, I walk 5 miles per day and would love to be able to bring your dog with Denali and I. In case of an emergency, we have five animal hospitals within 2 miles.

Information Daniel W. would like to know about your pet

If your dog is a barker, we would not be a good fit. My community is very strict with barking dogs. It would be great to know if your dog has any food allergies, if they chew on furniture, if they’re aggressive when eating or playing with dogs, if they have any medical needs, if they need to be taken out in the middle of the night to do their business.

A typical day

A typical day starts around 4:45am with breakfast and coffee before taking Denali on a 2.5 mile walk. If it’s Monday through Friday (and not an extended break or holiday), I leave for work around 7:00am and arrive home around 3:30pm. On the weekends or on my breaks (Winter, Spring, Summer), I’m usually hiking, going to the beach, walking around the Newport Back Bay, or at a sporting event for my nephews and niece. Once returning home, it’s time to take the dogs out for a walk or a quick trip to the park. As the dogs relax, I start to prep dinner. After dinner, it’s time for an evening walk through the neighborhood or a trip to the park to chase the ball and run around.

Availability

My main availability for boarding is on the weekends, which starts Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon. I am flexible on boarding as long as you are understanding of my work commitments. I work from 7:00am until 3:00pm Monday through Friday. As a public school teacher, I have traditional school breaks (Winter, Spring, Summer). As for walks, I am available Monday through Friday after 4:00pm. I have flexibility on the weekends, so don’t hesitate to reach out to find a time and day that works. In addition, I have much more availability and flexibility during my extended breaks!
