Friendly and responsible dog lover!

Pet care experience

I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life: from small dogs weighing about 15lbs to larger breeds over 100lbs. I’ve also worked with a variety of breeds from pit bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Shetland Sheepdogs, Dalmatians and more. Dogs tend to be at ease around me and we get along great! Bathing, walking, feeding and playing with our four legged furry friends are no troubles for me! I’ve walked for Wag! as well as for friends and family.

Daniel is a fabulous provider of pet care! I know that when I leave town or am stuck at work, my pet is being taken care of by the best. Daniel provides updates and detailed reports! Daniel’s standard goes above and beyond just simple feeding and walking. I never worry about my pet when I leave them in Daniel’s care! I strongly recommend everyone to use his service.

Safety, trust & environment

I believe in positive reinforcement for training, working and playing with dogs. With a treat here and there and lots of pets and scratches they’ll know they’re loved and get the love they want when we’ll behaved. I have no problem handling dogs on various leash and collar or harness set ups. I had enough trust in my dog, a German Shepherd, I was able to always walk her I ff leash and she never ran away or misbehaved. I’d bring one with me to leash her in case people would look worried or someone would come around to enforce the leash law in Chicago.

Information Daniel W. would like to know about your pet

The most important things for me to know about your four legged furry family member is as followed: how they react around other dogs? when excited by meeting new people or people coming home do they have accidents? Are they on any medications? Are they or can they be aggressive around other people on walks/are they really or over protective of their humans on walks? Do they share toys? (My old roommates dog, Chunk, doesn’t share his toys so I would have to play with them separately or have one of the dogs sit with me and hold them while the other would fetch the ball) Do they have a favorite toy or treat or reward for being a good dog?

A typical day

I love to perform trust exercises with the dogs I walk. With my German Shepherd, Heidi, I would reward her good behavior with letting her walk off the leash, play fetch to get her motivated on walks, or use some treats. While in Chicago, I would take her and the others dogs I walked to Lake Michigan to walk along the beach and to go swimming, catch rabbits! and let her meet other dogs there. I also would take her on two to three hour long car rides whenever she was depressed to cheer her up with the wind in her face! Here in Kearney there is Yanney Park, Cottonmill Park, the possibility of taking your four legged furry family members to Fort Kearney which gives them a nice car ride and somewhere we to walk!
