Dependable, direct and dedicated dog dad is an alliteration that really applies to me. Your dog will not be left alone. I have no other responsibilities other than to provide your dog with company and keep them distracted while their owner is away. I board only 1 dog at a time or 2 from the same household. I am also fully bonded and insured through my own private insurance carrier. I’ve always been an animal lover from a young age and they have always been such a strong influence in my life. A few years ago, I decided to get a service dog to train and spoil with love and companionship. She came into my life at 10 weeks old and I raised her until she died of osteosarcoma after five years. I haven’t gotten over my heartbreak just yet, so I’m not ready for my own dog at the moment, but I do want to care for them again. Baby steps; I hope to be a dog dad again soon. In the meantime, I’m a dog sitter and walker for friends and family, and I volunteered at the Hawaiian Humane Society for over three years, and have a ton of awesome references, but you’ll know within two minutes of meeting me that I’m the real deal. Your dog is precious and being entrusted to care for them is an honor I won’t take lightly. Your pup will know immediately––I’ve never met a dog I didn’t connect with in seconds. I’m a retired combat veteran so I can devote all my energy to your pup. I have a certain devotion to animals and the quality of my service is not just talk, but about concrete, consistent and caring action. Having been former military, I’m very protective of all living beings and your beloved pet will be in good, capable hands. Another thing I love is being outside, walking and being active as possible, so a furry companion will make everything better. We’ll get tons of walks throughout the day, but I love the last walk which like to call the “Midnight Mile.” There is something so magical about you and a dog walking when everyone else has gone to bed, and you can just clear your mind and reconnect with the natural environment. While the dog sniffs, I enjoy the stillness of the night, seeing the shadows of trees, and passing by the house with the large digital clock facing out of the window. I guess it’s hard to really define a person with a few words, but I’m three dimensional with my own personality and interests, very much like dogs too. I respect and delight in getting to know every dog I meet and care for. I love learning their little quirks, whether it’s eating a certain type of plant or the way they snore when they snooze. It’s those moments that make us connect, and it’s a process I fully cherish. I also love to scuba dive, rock climb, and travel the world! I’ve backpacked 22 countries on five continents. I’m also going back to college to finish my degree because we should always be students in life. I love all types of pups, but I especially love Pit Bulls because they get such a bad reputation when they’re some of the most loyal and loving breeds.
