My name is Daniel and I’ve been around cats and dogs my whole life. Our family of 4 gave 2 cats a loving home for 12 years. Pixie – a Dachshund-mix, that we adopted from the shelter two years ago is our family dog. Back in 2005 we moved from Germany to Charlotte, NC and brought our two bunnies with us that we just couldn’t leave behind. Today, it's only Pixie and us. Besides caring for my own pets, I was helping out friends a lot with walking and caring for their dogs, or doing drop-in visits to play and care for their cats. During nighttime thunderstorms I go out of my way to comfort a scared dog. I’m a Dad and very much used to getting up at night! I also don’t mind to empty mailboxes, rolling out trash cans or whatever you need me to do while I care for your pet.

Daniel was fantastic! He took such great care of our dog while we were out of the country. He sent lots of photos and updates of him each day and was super flexible with us when we had major flight delays setting our pick-up time back a day. We highly recommend Daniel to anyone in the Charlotte area!
Charlie had a great stay with Daniel. I enjoyed meeting Daniel. He welcomed me into his home and gave me peace of mind on everything before leaving my dog for the first time. Would certainly recommend Daniel and will be using him in the future!

At our spacious home we have a fenced backyard as well as a roofed outside deck that everybody loves to hang out at on rainy days or just to catch some shade while breathing fresh air. We also have direct access to a nice and shaded community walking trail that dogs love to explore during our walks. If your dog is used to a crate, I have two sizes available or feel free to bring your own.

A typical day
I prefer a brisk walking pace if your dog is up for it, but leave enough time to take in all the new smells. Your pet will get a lot of steps in and be able to explore and enjoy the walk. Walking trails are my favorite place to walk your dog as I love to be in nature, away from cars and hard surface, hot-in-summertime-sidewalks. At home I like to cuddle up, pet and try out all the toys with your furry friend to make the best of the time together.

Availability
I have 2 kids (7 and 14) in school and my entrepreneurial life allows me lots of time to care for your furry friend. Working from home and being my own boss, my schedule is super flexible and I enjoy going outside to walk and care for your pets.
