Pet care experience
Animals have always been in my life. When I was 12, my mom and I adopted a fox terrier at a horse show (making our household a three-dog house). When I was 20, I spent my first real paycheck on a pregnant pony at an auction. At summer camp I bought a floppy-eared bunny at an Amish market for $4. Needless to say, I've had my fair share of animal care. Sadly, I've grown to miss all my little critters at home. I'm hoping Rover can help me fill that void (if just a little). I am a young professional living in the East Village. I live in a pet friendly apartment building just a block from Tompkins Square Park. I am an active person who spends most of his time wandering the neighborhood, would love a canine friend to accompany me.

Daniel was great with my 14 year old dog! It’s always hard leaving your pet, especially one that needs a little more care and patience due to her old age, but I knew my dog was in good hands. Daniel sent updates and pictures throughout the day and totally put me at ease. I would definitely request Daniel again to watch my dog!
Daniel was great and easy to communicate and work with. Picked up my dog in the morning and watched her all day. He also sent photos for updates. Highly recommend him!
I've had the pleasure of knowing Daniel for 4 years, and during our friendship I've come to truly understand his love for dogs. Daniel was raised in a dog-loving household; including his childhood best friend (Ringo), and the two rescues that his family now owns (Ellie and Otto). He has such genuine compassion for all dog breeds, and I've been impressed by his patience and diligence when walking and rehabilitating his family's rescue Pitbull (Otto). Daniel also frequently watches his friend Alissa's Yorkie (Bear), and has been known to even take him into his dog-friendly office on days when Alissa allows! When Daniel visits me while I'm watching my own Rover clients, I swear sometimes he's way more excited to see the dogs than he is to see me! I would highly recommend him as a responsible and loving dog caregiver for Rover.
Daniel is not only a good friend to me, but someone I can wholeheartedly trust with my corgi, Peanut. Peanut has canine diabetes and requires a little extra care, most important of which is adhering to a diet and exercise regimen. When I used to travel out of town, I'd leave Peanut with Daniel, knowing that he is great about taking her out on long walks and making sure she isn't overfed--but still stimulated and happy! Unfortunately I don't live in the same city as Daniel anymore and I can no longer use my favorite dogsitter, but I hope New York Rover users take advantage of Daniel's great care-taking skills.
