I have been responsible for taking care of dogs and cats since I was a child. I've had my own pets as an adult for 8 years. I am comfortable administering medicine because my first doggo had early onset arthritis and needed lots of medical care. I have three rescue dogs, a Pharaoh Hound, Chow, and a Chihuahua. I have fostered dogs in the past for a rescue that was based in Fayetteville. I worked adoption events on the weekends in between work and high school for several years. For those events I mostly worked with cats but also helped out with dogs when needed. When Fayetteville was looking to pass breed specific discrimination laws (specifically to ban the adoption of Pittbulls, Chows, Great Danes, German Shepherds and various other "aggressive breeds" brought to the shelter in favor of euthanizing them), my Mom and I were a part of a protest during the council meeting and spoke on behalf of those dogs. Ultimately the outcry against the legislation caused it to fail so the legislation did not pass. I love animals, but dogs have taken a special place in my heart. Each has their own unique personality. My dogs are a huge part of my life and family. Mine don't know the meaning of personal space once I'm on the couch. I usually wind up covered in all three of them. I wouldnt have it any other way. We do lots of activities outside together. Luke and Cass join us for the Noda Run club, White Water Center runs and events, hiking, trips to the dog park, and even trips to the bar for dinner and a drink. They are so spoiled that they even get their own burger patties for dinner on those nights. I know the value of peace of mine and trust for the person watching your furry family while you are away. I only want and expect the best for them, which is exactly what I offer yours! I look forward to meeting them and welcoming them to my family!
