Dane is my best friend and I have had the privilege of being able to count on him to take care of my black lab, Mary, on many occasions over the years. She can be a bit of a handful but thanks to Dane I have been able to travel semi-regularly for work, knowing the whole time that she is in excellent care. Dane has a grounded yet playful presence that dogs respond to instantly and he knows all the best hikes in East L.A. If you are not convinced yet, Dane also achieved heroic status in San Francisco last month where I witnessed him successfully corral a lost and panicked Australian shepherd that we found weaving thru rush hour traffic, until we could eventually locate her owner. It was the first time I had witnessed a situation like this result in a happy ending, and I was very moved to share that experience with Dane. Take it from me that your dog(s) will be in excellent hands with this absolute pearl of a human being. As an added bonus, he will even laugh politely when you makes jokes about how he is named after a popular dog breed.
