Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Dana! I'm a graduate student and have 20 years of experience caring for cats and dogs (and fish, snakes, turtles and newts!) My naturally quiet and gentle personality attracts even the most hesitant pets. I'm a local San Diegan and have spent the majority of my life in Pacific Beach. I grew up with two lovely kitties at home and have always wanted a pup (though mother said no.) So until I'm able to provide for a dog of my own, I walk, play with, and care for the dogs of my friends, family, and neighbors to fill that pupper-sized hole in my heart. Please don't hesitate to contact me to talk about you and your pet's needs. I can't wait to meet your furry family member!
Reviews
Best cat sitter ever! Dana is so patient and kind with my cats and truly takes the time to play with them and make them feel cared for. Whenever I go out of town, I have absolutely zero worries about my cats whatsoever, thanks to Dana! :)
Dana was amazing!! I usually stress out about my pets when I’m out of town but I felt absolutely no stress on my trip because of how attentive and caring Dana was for my cats and snake! One of my cats is very shy but opened up to her on the second day which says a lot lol. She is awesome, I can’t recommend her enough!
Dana was great with my cat Nacho. I felt comforted knowing he was in good hands with her.
Dana was a true gem. She kept us updated daily on our cats habits and health. She spent time to, not only do his daily routine, but she played and cared for him. We did not have to stress or worry because we knew our cat was in good hands. Goose was happy and healthy on our return. We will definitely be rebooking whenever our cat needs care!!

A typical day
I service Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Bay Park, Crown Point, and Mission Beach for drop-in visits in your home or dog-walking. For first-time clients, after you send your booking request through Rover I will get back to you as soon as I can to confirm availability. Then we can schedule a Meet & Greet (either in-person, on video chat, or over the phone) to discuss your pet's needs. The day before the booking, or at your convenience, you will provide the lock-box/smart-lock code (preferred) or provide a copy of your house key. For each visit, I will use the Rover app to log the exact start and stop times & Rover will verify my location. I will save pictures of your pet and any notes to a "Rover Card" that is sent to you at the end of each visit.
