Pet care experience
Lifelong animal caregiver with extensive experience. I've worked with many animal species and dog breeds. I find joy in getting to know each new fur baby in my care. I am pet sitting few days a weeks while my family is between animals of our own. Dogs that stay in my home are temporarily part of our family! To keep us all safe, at this time, I am only sitting dogs that are low maintenance and good with children. Low maintenance dogs are those that can be left alone for at least 4 hours. If you're looking for multi-month boarding, my home might be a good fit. Let's chat!

Excellent communication and lots of pics of my happy pups
We cannot recommend Dana enough! We recently moved to the Baltimore area and were searching for a new dog sitter to help when we're away. Having some negative experiences with boarding, we were a little hesitant, but Dana was perfect! She cared for our two dogs as if they were her own and sent daily updates with pictures. Both dogs came back calm and happy. We will absolutely be using Dana again.

This was our first time using Rover and we couldn’t be happier with Dana! She was so kind and accommodating, she even brought Sandy back home for us before our flight landed so we were able to see our pup when we arrived home. We looked forward to the daily pictures and updates Dana provided and didn’t worry at all during our vacation as we know she was in great hands. I treat every pet I meet with care. When your pet stays with me, they get lots of love and attention if that's what they need. They also get their own space, if that's what they need. Both children are familiar with dogs, their own and those they have met through our dog sitting endeavors. The 10 year old helps out with care, the 7 year old keeps more to themselves. When at my home, dogs have the ability to roam the home and find their own favorite spot. I only host one pet at my home at a time unless those pets come from the same household and get along.

A typical day
I have a small backyard with an above ground pool. Dogs with an affinity for water are welcome to swim with supervision (during summer months only). My neighborhood has lots of sidewalks and paths, so we tend to walk along the smaller roads.

The environment at my home fluctuates between very quiet and relaxed when the kids are away to rather rambunctious when they are home. I commute in to the office some days and work from home some days. Whether we are spending time in the backyard, off to school and work, or running errands, every day includes time dedicated to each dog in my care. Each day includes dog walks (or backyard free time) at least three times each day. I feed them when and how they are fed at home, even if this requires some special food prep. Any dog that stays with us is welcome to visit and cuddle with us while we are relaxing, or keep to themselves if that's what suits them.
