Pet care experience
Hi! I've realized that dogs consistently provide a source of joy and delight in my life. This is why I want to be a Rover sitter! I have grown up with Rottweilers and German Sheppards, including taking care of them as puppies. I currently have two furry family members, a Corgi mix (Sherlock) and Dachshund/Pitt mix (Lima Bean). Both are quirky rescue dogs with big personalities. We enjoy ravaging soft toys, lots of treats, sniffy walks and of course cuddles. I am a dietitian working on starting a private practice. My past work experience includes working at a local hospital as a clinical dietitian. I have a great love of food and books. I spent several years working as a children's department book specialist during college. Fantasy/fiction is my favorite genre. I have also had a 30 gal freshwater aquarium for 10+ years so I can help with any fishy needs. I enjoy gardening, movies and the great outdoors.

Oh my gosh, Dana was amazing! She was awesome with our two dogs. She was prompt and communicated with us throughout our trip. We have been searching for a great sitter and she exceeded expectations! We’ve already booked her again!
Dana is a real pro! We had her house sit with our two dogs for a week, and she was so amazing. Her attention to detail in advance, asking us questions we weren’t even thinking about, made us so comfortable leaving the dogs at home. She was very responsive with our questions as we were away, and was very capable to handle things that popped up, sending us just a few clarifying questions as we were away. She was a fabulous house guest as well, and left the place spotless upon her departure. We are excited to know that we have a trusted caretaker for our pets whenever we are away!! Thanks Dana!!!

I would like to know if your pet has any behavior problems, health problems, or reactivity to other dogs/animals. Is your dog potty trained? How often do they usually need a potty break?
A typical day
I can take even your large pup in my car for trips to the dog park or walks wherever you feel comfortable. Or we can just play in your home or yard. I like doing basic training for treats to keep doggy minds active. We can do a little light grooming too! Tooth brushing and fur brushing, plus wipe down with doggy wipes as needed. I am also willing to wash dogs for an additional fee.
