Pet care experience
I've owned dogs my entire life- big and small, from the age of a puppy to senior with special health needs. I am familiar with rescues and the special gentleness and patience required. A few years ago I started working at a grooming shop part time as a bather for some extra money and this further fueled my love for animals and sparked a passion within me for the animal care profession. I realized it is all I want to do and in every aspect I possibly can. Dog walking and dog sitting - being able to spend time and learn with these incredible animals - is a great way for me to further my belief that one should love what they do for a living, to the point where it doesn't ever feel like work.

Of course, it's important to know how they are with other dogs, other people, children etc when walking them. When sitting them, a little background on the dog's personality and at-home behavior is also appreciated so I know what would be normal and out of norm. Also, restrictions in place around the house - whether it be them being restricted from certain rooms, from being on furniture, etc.
A typical day
I love nature, so if there are county parks or beaches nearby, we will visit those. If your dog is active, we can run. If he/she is on the less active side, we can take breaks. I had a little pug so know when to give short-nosed pups breaks to keep from overheating as well.
