Hello, my name is Dana, and I absolutely love caring for and being around dogs. My husband Stephen and I live In Keller with our daughter and our dog Lucy, a 10 year old Doberman. She is a couch dog and loves having visitors. I've been a DogVacay sitter since 2014. I took a break from sitting when we moved to Texas in 2019 but we are back to offering daycare in our home. Stephen works from home full time so our client dogs never have to be alone. I know how hard it is to leave your fur-babies all day while you work or run errands. Daytime play dates can make a huge difference in their mental enrichment and help curb bad behaviors. In our home your pup will get plenty of love and playtime and while you get peace of mind updates throughout the day. We can’t wait to meet you!

Dana was so accommodating in checking on my little puppy on such short notice. She sent me pictures and gave me an update as to what she took care of in the care of my pup. I was very pleased with her visit. :) Will likely use her again.

We have a fenced yard so your pet can have as much outside time as they need. They will also be welcome to hang out in Stephen’s office while he works and can interact with our dog Lucy as much as they want.

Before booking a visit with your pet, it is helpful for me to learn a little about them. The more I know about their typical routine and activities they enjoy, the more I can help them feel as comfortable as possible while you're away. It's also helpful to know about any hangups they might have. Do they display signs of separation anxiety? Do they have any aggressive tendencies toward other pets or people?
A typical day
You and your pup will decide what we'll do! There's no reason they should have to miss out on their favorite activities when you're away, so if they're up for romping in the yard or vegging on the couch, that’s how the day will go.

Availability
Stephen works from home full time so our client dogs are cared for all day long and never have to be alone. We’ll take play breaks in the backyard during the day and can take a walk as well if needed.
