Pet care experience
I've been a dog owner for 40+ years and have cared for many sizes and breeds from Chihuahua to German Shepherd. My pets were all comfortable with crate training but live day-to-day in an open-concept home. As a sitter, I'll make sure your dog will be treated as family. They'll enjoy our large home set on 2 acres of wooded lawns. I love all ages of pets but have recently specialized in senior dog care (through experience). My last two smaller dogs were 18 and 21 years old when they left me. My dogs have been spoiled, well trained, and well loved. I still have Lucky, a sweet seven year old German Shepherd...but I'd like to help care for other dogs as I have more than enough space and time. Pets will be walked outside for fresh air and exercise as often as needed.

I've had occasion to see how Dan and his family care for animals for several years. They are very engaged in and concerned with the welfare of their dogs and are able to provide a healthy lifestyle and excellent quality of life for them. Dan and his family are certainly very capable of caring for additional dogs have excellent resources and capabilities to welcome additional dogs into their home.
Dan's taken care of lots of dogs (his own, plus fosters and strays) for many, many years. He's always very responsible with their care and health He really loves dogs, loves exercise, and is patient and kind. He'd be a great dog walker.

I'd want to know the dogs normal schedule for eating, bathroom breaks and exercise. Also we need to know if they have any special needs or requirements. My goal is to make your pet as comfortable and happy as we can while you're away.
A typical day
Guests frequently compare my yard to a park, so in the warmer months they get walked around our 2 acres. My dogs have enjoyed playing frisbee or retreiving tennis balls, maybe yours do too? I have plenty of tie outs and runs if your dog would enjoy longer periods outside. In winter, they can play in the snow or just cozy up close to the fireplace for a long nap.

Retired at 43. My only obligations are errands. If the schedule says I'm available, I'm available. I'm home 7 days a week, 20+ hours a day. Your pet will be supervised and socialized, not just sheltered in our home while I'm off at work. My home is a clean, comfortable and warm home.
