Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Dan (he/him). I’ve grown up with dogs and took care of them on Rover in ‘20-21 while living on the Cape. Sadly my dog Niko crossed the rainbow bridge after a happy 16 years and I have since moved from a rental house to an apartment. I would love to take care of your pup (and house) when you’re away or even just need a break! I’m comfortable with all tasks of taking care of your dog(s) and have experience with all ages and a variety of breeds. I would love to do a meet and greet beforehand though to make sure I get along well with your pup! I can handle multiple dogs while House sitting and a cat or two, although I do have a slight allergy. I’m fully vaxed and I put an emphasis on cleanliness and safety. My goal is to leave your home exactly as you left it. I never leave your dog off leash and I’m well aware of other dogs and animals during walks. I’m careful about opening doors and willing to accommodate any pets/owners needs. I like to send picture and text updates regularly and treat your pup as if they’re part of my family!
Reviews
Dan went above and beyond our expectations! When first meeting Dan, he made sure to ask all the questions necessary to ensure that our dog Koda's stay was fabulous. His attention to detail was incredible. He took Koda on multiple walks a day and gave him plenty of attention along with the time he needed to just rest and relax as well. We had frequent communication which included both text messages and pictures. He had put our minds at ease during the stay and we had a wonderful vacation! Upon picking Koda up he showed us a beautiful collage of photos and videos that he created. I have used Rover multiple times and no one has come close to the level of care Dan provided for my dog. I will continue to use Dan as my # 1 dog sitter on Cape Cod! Dan you are the man! Thank you for taking such great care of Koda!
What a fabulous time Riley & Harry had with Dan. Terrific service. We’re strangers on vacation & he kept us informed of the day’s activities. Photos, videos & texts about their day. Highly recommend.
Dan is great with Dixie. He is communicative and patient. I will continue to use Dan's services as long as he is available.
Dan was great! ? He gave us plenty of updates and pictures of our dog. Would absolutely recommend!!

Safety, trust & environment
I always have an eye on your dog and encourage them to be with me either in the office, in the living room, or bedroom. I make sure nothing dangerous or breakable is close to the ground. No food is reachable and I regularly keep homes tidy to ensure that.
Home
Information Dan M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog is crate trained or not. Some dogs prefer it. It’s helpful to know if they’re susceptible to ticks so I can thoroughly check after walks once that season starts. What their bathroom schedule is and how they interact with other dogs and people.
A typical day
Depending on your dogs schedule we go on a short walk in the morning before or after breakfast. Then regular breaks throughout the day as described during the meet and greet. I like at least one long walk a day, typically right after work but lunchtime works too, but all depends on what you and your pup want!

Availability
I strictly work from home and for a West Coast company. Although I typically work 9-5 or 10-6, I create my own schedule for the most part so usually have plenty of open blocks of time.
