I have lived with dogs and cats my whole life. Over the past few years I have been fostering dogs through Austin Pets Alive! Specializing in medium to large pit bulls with behavioral problems. I’ve been told I have a very calming effect on dogs and work well with high energy dogs. I am not currently fostering any dogs. I’m available to walk dogs, provide drop in visits, and stay over and house sit. I’m centrally located in Hyde Park but can travel throughout Austin as needed. I love taking dogs for walks or playing fetch if they’re up to it.

Dan was awesome watching our dogs over a long weekend!
Dan was great - responsible, great communication for planning and picture updates of our pets (2 cats and a Great Dane). He stayed at our house and left it as clean/cleaner than when he arrived. I was nervous to hire someone to stay at our house but Dan was great and I would definitely use him again in the future.
No complaints! Reliable, did everything we asked! Will use again for sure!
Dan was great! He stayed in my home to take care of my dog and cat for a long weekend and took such great care of everything. The animals were well taken care of, the house was just as if left it, and Dan kept me updated throughout my trip. Would recommend and would definitely book again!

A typical day
If your dog likes fetch, I have no problem playing with them for as long as they want. I’m happy to cuddle up with them inside the house and give them all the attention they need.

I work in an office M-F, typically between 6-8 hours a day and can work from home if needed. I have no problem staying over and keeping your pets company overnight.
