I miss having a dog
Pet care experience
I've had three wonderful dogs in my adult life. My most recent one, Buzz, passed away in August 2020 at the age of 15 years and I resigned myself to the reality that he was the last dog that I would have. Still, every time I see a dog on TV or in some online video -- or even when I cruise dog-adoption sites -- I realize that I miss having one around even though I know I just can't own another dog. SO...why not have a dog that's not actually mine!!! I love dogs and I've found that most dogs I meet seem to know that. In many regards, I consider myself to be a two-legged canine! Would enjoy having a dog back in my life, even if it's only mine when I'm needed to walk, watch and/or care for it!

Dan was incredible with our Shih Tzu Layla. She loves people but not other dogs. She also has separation anxiety. Dan only takes one dog at a time and that worked out perfectly for us. Plus, he has a dog park on property, and she was able to spend time outdoors. Dan was careful to keep her safe from other dogs. Dan had excellent communication with us during our 10 days away. He has a very calming effect on dogs. When we went to pick her up she was sleeping. Then very calm, bright eyed, and very normal after return home. This is the best we've seen her after being away. We hope to use Dan again. Highly recommend.
We are on vacation, and Dan kept our Ruby company while we went hiking in Sabino Canyon, where she was not allowed to go. Dan was such a great dog sitter! When I requested to book, he answered immediately and we had our plans set in less than 5 minutes! He gave clear directions to his place. Ruby liked him right away! He sent us photos while we were hiking. When we picked her up, she was calm and happy. She even gave him a "kiss" goodbye. We would willingly book Dan again next time we are in Tucson!

Dan was great, he was a true dog lover an he even took my dog to a dog park. He also let my dog on his bed! My dog must had a great time that she fell a sleep when we got home:).

A typical day
I live in an apartment community that has a campus-like feel to it so there are lots of trees and grassy areas. Even has a little dog park. Oh...and it has lots of dogs! Buzz loved it here. If a larger dog park is required, I'm not far from the Morris K. Udall dog park. My apartment is a ground floor studio that's comfortable for a small/mid-sized dog.
