Working at a physics lab at MSU, I can often shift my hours to have a later morning, longer lunch, or shorter afternoon for days at a time. I've grown up with golden retrievers, and with the help of my girlfriend have just recently helped train the two 3 months old brothers seen in my profile picture. My girlfriend Aneta and myself have an 8yr old Beagle Dachshund we spoil a bit but have trained to sit, lay down, turn around, roll over, shake one then the other paw, speak, and go to bed. Its my experience that if a dog is starting trouble at home, he/she is simply not tired enough. No dog should be relegated to a crate all day, but also no owner should have to feel guilty about the occasional work trip or a much needed vacation!
