Pet care experience
COVID-19 has undoubtedly changed our lives for a time to come, so believe me when I say that I understand that many of you will be cautious when it comes to booking a dog walker. Just so you know, I'm doing my part whenever I can - I always have masks on me for public areas when possible, I wash my hands like a maniac 1000 times a day, I keep my distance whenever I'm out and about to practice social distancing, and I mostly stay at home and avoid going out socially until I feel things have stabilized far more than they already have. Feel confident in knowing that I'm trying my best! Your safety comes first. Hello! I'm Damien, an animal enthusiast local to the Summerlin area. Over the last couple of years, I've worked diligently to build my client list in the area, and I'm happy to say that my work and effort has not been in vain - hopefully, you can browse my feedback and booking history to see that I give all of my clients my absolute best effort whenever possible. I primarily specialize in dog walking and drop-in visits, and while I will occasionally make special exceptions to traveling outside of my service area - I tend to stay mostly local. Doing so allows me to be able to make emergency visits for my regulars quite quickly whenever needed. My schedule is incredibly flexible as my other job involves online eBay work, meaning I work from home on my own schedule and can mold my dog care hours around whatever is needed. That being said, I do have a healthy list of regular clients that I take care of week to week, and my schedule can become even more intimidating when major holidays roll around - so please do not take offense if I cannot fit you in! I do my best to try, and I love meeting new clients (and their dogs!) whenever I can. For now, my rates are pretty standard and I do not expect to increase them until at least 2021, so feel free to send me some requests and I'll see what I can do. I look forward to taking care of your loved ones!
Reviews
This was my dog's first experience with a dog sitter. Damien was so patient and with her and I really appreciated that. I would get cute pictures of her and a detailed note about how she was doing. 10/10 recommend him!
Damien really stepped up and helped us out last minute when we were in a bind. He took the time to come over before we left to meet our puppies and review the schedule with us. Over the 4 days he was right on time and his communication was fantastic. We were super impressed with Damien and he made us feel very comfortable. We will use again in the future for sure! Thanks Damien!
I really appreciated the communication and Sampson loved you! Thank you again for taking great care of him especially on short notice!
Excellent communication... we appreciated the thorough updates! Our dog seemed to have a great time ?

I mostly just like to know all of their triggers and how major they can be. My immediate go-to when walking any dog is to keep them away from other people and pets, regardless of their usual behavior, and it's not because I don't trust your dog - it's because I don't want to take any risks while they're in my care! You never know what other animals out there have in mind, and I've seen plenty of cases where the good doggo just wants to make friends... and pays the price for it when the other dog decides to be the aggressor. It's also good to know what commands they respond to, what sort of habits are in place for training purposes etc etc., just so again... I can act as a surrogate for you. You never want your dog to think they're getting a break to do whatever they please when they're with a walker - you want them to think they have to be on even BETTER behavior than normal!
A typical day
When it comes to walks, I usually try to leg it to the closest parks nearby for obvious reasons. If there isn't one readily available, I mostly base the walk on what kind of mood the dog is in. If you request distance as the main priority, this is totally fine - I've been known to sneak in some alarmingly far distances in a single walk when the owner asks. That being said, it's also really important to let a dog explore with their nose while outside, so I tend to find a medium where we're covering ground, but also giving them plenty of time to experience what's around them as we do. I'm not the kind of walker that pulls on a dog to make them go faster just to juice up the distance meter - I'll actually go out of my way to make sure that never happens!
