The boarding experience with Damariz has been very disappointing. This was supposed to be a first boarding trial to determine if a longer stay will be a good fit. During our meet n greet session, we had shared with Damariz that we are looking for a home for our pets when we are away where - 1) they have the freedom to roam around and not be constrained, 2) there is someone at home to watch over them, 3) they are walked twice a day, and 4) the care taker regularly keeps us up to date with their progress, and 5) treats them as family. First of all, even though this was our first time boarding with Damariz, she was not present at home to meet us and do the intake. She had a friend substitute for her. We were told during our meet n greet that whenever Damariz would be out at work (a few hours since she works part time), her friend would fill in for her at the home to watch over the dogs so that someone would be at home at all times and the dogs would not be alone by themselves. We were fine with it.However, we weren't told that the friend would be the one who would meet us and do the intake when we booked the stay with her. We were only told the morning of the dropoff. Had we known, we would not have agreed to the stay. As a responsible pet parent, you want to meet the person who is responsible for our pets rather than a substitute. Our pets were dropped off at 9 am. Second, there was no message, photos or update from her for 8 hrs. When we tried to contact Damariz, she did not pick up our calls or return them. When we called her friend, she said she would "be at the house" in a few minutes and take pictures and send. The pictures were posted finally at 6:00 PM, a few directly on Rover by Damariz and a few were sent via text message by her friend directly to us. Strangely, both sets of pictures were different. The next day when we messaged her to let her know that we would be stopping by to pick them up, she mentioned that her friend would be home at that time to meet us and hand over our pets. Again, we were never told by Damariz that we would not see her either during drop off or pick up. At pick up, upon repeated questioning it became apparent that the dogs were by themselves for a major part of the day. Their neighbor came and let them out a couple of times but neither the friend nor Damariz was at home. Her friend mentioned that Damariz came home at night. Moreover, the dogs were not walked. We also observed that they were cordoned off in a small section of the home downstairs. It is very well possible that they remained in that cordoned off section for the major part of their stay. In nutshell, Damariz's handling of this stay has been nothing short of unprofessional. She did not have the courtesy to fully inform us of the conditions of the stay. She has been incommunicado unless we reached out to her through multiple channels. We DO NOT recommend Damariz for your pets!

Damariz was wonderful with Bo! She treated him like her own. She spoiled him rotten just like I do. I will definitely be using Damariz again!
