Pet care experience
Dogs, cats, rabbits, lizards, snakes, horses, cockatiels, hamsters, fish, turtles - I have cared for and loved them all! I grew up with three cats and a dog, and I miss the animals I left behind at my parents' home every day. Until I'm ready to commit to a furry (or scaly!) friend of my own, I want to surround myself with opportunities to get to know other pets. I have helped care for and train service dogs in the past, and I know how important it can be for even temporary caregivers to reinforce training and habits. I am more than happy to adapt to your specific needs as a pet owner and your animals' specific needs as individuals. I also have lots of experience with nervous, anxious, and reactive dogs and dogs that require medication or special care. I am excellent at following instructions, and since I work remotely, I can give your dog a nearly constant companion and care 😊.

Dale took great care of our 2 dogs while we were gone for the weekend. She sent regular video and photo updates and was very responsive to our messages. The house was in great condition when we got back and it seemed like the dogs had a lot of fun! We will definitely request her care in the future!

You will not find a better pet sitter! Dale was very accommodating, reliable and treated our dogs with love and the utmost in care. Our older dog had a recent surgery and required several medications, and our younger pup needed a little more attention than typical or expected. She kept us well informed and we would not hesitate to hire her again.
Dale stayed with our 5-lb yorkie/bichon for 5 days and everything was an absolute breeze. She let us know when she would be arriving/leaving, asked appropriate questions about feeding and handling him, and sent a bunch of pics/vids showing them hanging out. The place was exactly in the same condition as when we left and Dale was a consummate professional in acting as our dogsitter. When I take care of your dog in your home, I follow all of your house rules and enjoy hanging out with your dog in the place they know best! I will never invite people to your home or touch things I haven't been given explicit permission to use, and I will leave it cleaner than you left it. I will follow all your instructions, and I will water your plants, take your trash/recycling out for pickup, and bring your packages and mail inside for you to open when you return if you wish. Conversely, if you would prefer me not to touch your mail, not go in certain rooms, even not sit on a specific chair, etc, I will always fully respect those requests as well.

I want to know how your dog is around other dogs and people, if he/she has any medications or special needs, if I have your permission to take your dog hiking / to parks in my car, his/her normal schedule for food and walkies, and if he/she has any funny habits I should know about!
A typical day
We'll go on walks, maybe hang out with other dogs, play with toys, do tricks for treats, snuggle and watch TV, enjoy lots of scratches and tummy rubs, hit the hiking trails, and just generally do everything we can together! All these activities will, of course, only take place with your permission and if your dog would enjoy them. I know that every dog is different!

Availability
I work remotely as a software developer, so I can give your dog lots of potty and play breaks! I love to get out and hike (typically 4-6 miles on trails 30mins-1hr from Denver), so it would be super cool if your dog could accompany me on these excursions. If not, no worries! I will always ask for permission before taking your dog anywhere besides on our walks and will always wait for and respect your answer.
