Pet care experience
I’m happy to take care of any animal: dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rodents, you name it. I have consistently had dogs and cats growing up. I currently have two quirky cats, both from babies. Pre-covid I volunteered at the local shelter so I have experience with mean, special needs, and older pups as well. I treat my pets like people because they are family and their whole world revolves around us, their owners. Some specific dog breeds I have the most experience with are beagles, pitbulls, collies, shelties, shepherds, elk hounds, dachshunds, bassetts, labs, dalmatians, and retrievers. I’m used to high energy dogs so I have no problem giving your fur baby a good workout.

Definitely recommend Dakota! She watched my cats for a weekend while I was out of town and did a great job! Excellent communication, always shared photos and provided updates about her time at my house. I would request her help again without question!
Great Rover, despite near-no notice which was due to circumstances, but super helpful.
Misunderstanding somewhere, but she left my home unlocked, not acceptable.

I plan on predominantly taking pups on long walks and some play time if there are toys, or watching shows and cuddling with the couch potato pups. As I have cats, they get free reign of my house so I will sadly not be hosting any dogs.

Feeding and bathroom schedule, medications, temperament, and general energy levels. What some of their favorite/ least favorite snacks are, and how much affection they want or need.
A typical day
I love walking the Belle Isle trails or Texas beach and I’ll be sure to chase all the zoomies out if a long walk doesn’t wear them out all the way.

Availability
Currently working full time 9-6ish gladly taking anything before and after, also happy to help on my off afternoons as well. My baby trotted over the rainbow bridge in May and I didn’t realize how much of my day revolved around her so I’m hoping to spend some time and give some love to as many pups as I can until we decide it’s time to adopt again.
