Pet care experience
I've been caring for pets - specifically dogs - for as long as I can remember. From walks, baths, and specially made meals to endless games of fetch, I've been doing it all since childhood. I currently own a great dane and a medium-sized mixed breed, so I'm comfortable with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I also work as an executive assistant at Little Victories Animal Rescue, so I'm extremely comfortable with all kinds of pets. Through my job, I've had the opportunity to pet/house sit for some of our donors, many of whom have animals who require special medical treatment (shots, medications, etc.). I work from home most of the time, so I can be present with your animals throughout the day. I’m also well-studied in dog behavior and training and can understand their unspoken language. Let me show them the love and consistency they crave while you’re away so you can relax!

Dakota is always the number one person I call to watch my sweet beagle, Gibbs! He can experience some separation anxiety when my husband and I go out of town, but she has become one of Gibbs’ favorite people and eases her worries. She makes sure he eats correctly - just as we instruct - and makes sure he gets exercise & playtime! She always makes checks in with us daily so we feel comfortable and can see that Gibbs is doing well. Having someone I can trust to leave my dog with is so important and I can’t recommend Dakota enough! You can tell that loves animals and she will treat your baby like her own! Whether it’s for 12 nights, a short weekend, or just taking your pupper on a daily walk, you can’t go wrong with her!

A typical day
I am an expert at fetch, but also a pro couch cuddler. I love a nice walk in the neighborhood, but I’m great with head scratches if your dog is too old for adventures. I can play enrichment games or work on training. I’ve done it all!

Availability
My job is mainly remote, so I can spend most of my day with your animals. But I consider it my job to keep them as close to their normal routine as possible. My work/life environment make that possible.
