Pet care experience
EXPERIENCE: I have had cats and dogs my entire life and couldn’t imagine life without one (or two, or three)! For many years I participated in agility and obedience with my dogs in 4H and have even gone through quite a few obedience and small pet care classes. Growing up on a farm I also had a wide variety of animals including cats, horses, goats, birds and reptiles. Over the years I’ve even cared for the beloved pets of my neighbors, family, and friends while they’ve been away. I have also been asked by multiple friends to assist them in obedience training for their dogs or help out with a nail trimming from time to time.

Dakota is truly a dog mom to her core. I always feel comfortable leaving my dog with her, knowing that he'll be well taken care of and protected while I'm gone. She concerns herself with enrichment and playful activity, and does a good job reading a dog's body language to see if they've had enough or if they're ready for more! It's really easy to just watch a dog, but I know Dakota is ready for the tough and unpredictable stuff too. She's concientious of what types of foods dogs can't eat, and she knows how to respond in emergencies like a dog eating a potentially lethal amount of chocolate. I know that when Dakota is taking care of my dog, she'll do everything humanly possible to keep him safe, happy, and thriving.

PET CARE: I have a friendly 4 year old Pomsky that would love to come along with me for a play date with your pup (at your discretion, of course). If that’s not for you because your fur baby is more of a people-person (I mean people-dog) then I am happy to come and provide them with all of the pets/cuddles/care/walks/tug-of-war/fetch or just the friendly company that they need while they await for your return.

Please including any specific care needs (i.e. medications, allergies, strict feeding schedule) or quirks (i.e. dog reactive, nervousness, uneasy around men, etc.) about your fur baby that would be helpful to know. I understand that all pets are different and have different needs and I want to do my best to meet the needs of your pet :)
A typical day
LOCATIONS: I have a list of all the local parks that I enjoy walking through (Burr Pond, Trestle Park, Bent Oak Kiwanis trailhead, Indian Crossing Trails). I like to mix it up with my own furry friends so they get a good variety of the sights and smells. I am happy to walk in your neighborhood or travel to one of my favorite parks for a more stimulating walk for your pup, depending on location.

Availability
SCHEDULE: I am currently working a later shift five days a week and am available for pet care, walking, and watching Monday through Friday from 7am-12:30pm. On my days off I am also available after 12:30pm, please inquire via message.
