Hey ya’ll, I’m Dakota Girton. I’m a signed Country recording artist in Nashville, TN as part of my duo, Hunter & Girton. When I’m not on the road or playing shows, you can usually find me hanging out with my dogs at home, so I thought this would be a fun little side gig to get into. I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals of all kinds, and have had dogs and cats my entire life (I can’t take in any cats though, my wife and kid are allergic, sorry!). I have a golden doodle, and a lab/husky mix who both get along great with other dogs. We recently moved into a new home with a big fenced in back yard for your pup to run and play in. Dakota is an animal whisperer, I swear. It doesn’t matter what kind of dog or cat is around, they’re drawn to him. He is so gentle and patient, even with my dog who is a puppy and can be a handful. He would be a wonderful sitter for your pet and would do a wonderful job of taking care of them and communicating with you about how they’re doing. Your furry friend is in great hands!

Does your dog get along with other dogs? Are they good on a leash to be taken on walks? Is there anything that makes them aggressive (bones, treats, etc). Are they playful or do they just like to hang out?
A typical day
We live in a great neighborhood to take walks in. If we’re not walking or hanging out in the backyard, we’ll hang out in the house and I’ll serenade them with some music.

Availability
I currently travel a couple times of month for music. When I’m not traveling, I’m usually playing somewhere locally, so hanging out with your pup wouldn’t be a problem. Travel is currently 2-3 times a month. Some months are busier than others, but my availability is pretty good.
