I’ve had dogs my entire life, I grew up on cape cod in Massachusetts and I moved to Portland around a year ago.in my life I’ve had a total of around 12 dogs of varying sizes. I currently have a corgi and a pug as well as 4 rescue dogs. I’m comfortable with all sizes as long as your pooch is human friendly. I will go above and beyond to make sure your dog has the best time he or she can and that when you see them next they’ll be happy, healthy, and ready for a nap. I’ve always been the type of person that would rather hang out with the animals at someone’s house party instead of the people but my career has always been in customer service so I know the best of both worlds. That being working with people and with animals :)

Punctual and communicative! Dropped in on our pup for several weeks and Dakota was great.
Dakota house sat for us in an emergency while our newborns were in the hospital and we had to stay with them around the clock. She took great care of our older dog, Boston who can sometimes have separation anxiety. She sent updates and photos and was always very communicative. We definitely appreciated her house sitting during an otherwise difficult time. We would definitely ask her to take care of Boston again.
Everything was great! The cats were very happy and healthy. Also, the communication was great and thought about the happiness of the cats was fantastic as well! The house looked untouched and clean like we left it. I would recommend as a pet sitter and would book again!
I have a special needs dog with separation anxiety and other behavioral issues, and this was my first time using Rover, so I was on edge about entrusting my dog to a stranger... but Dakota was so understanding about it when she took care of him at our house! She listened to my instructions carefully and checked in with status updates and photos of our pup every couple of hours. She was also super respectful of the space and shared cute photos of her own corgi with me. :) I'll be using her services again in the future and highly recommend her for anybody who wants a house sitter to look after their pup!

I’m free most of the time as long as I don’t have pre existing plans. I recently quit my 9-5 as I felt stuck in a rut. So I thought “why not work with animals?” That question brought me here as I thought it might be fun and that I’d genuinely enjoy caring for other peoples pets.
