I have grown to love and care for a beautiful golden retriever for 8 wonderful years! Although Nana (inspired by Peter Pan) was our family dog, I took charge of her care since my junior year in high school. When Nana was just a pup, we bought books to learn how to potty train using puppy pads & treats. Once potty trained, I taught Nana basics like “sit,” “down,” “stay,” and “high five!” Furthermore, I was responsible for scheduling veterinarian visits to keep up with vaccines and other health concerns. When I could bathe her at home I would and if not, I’d take her to a groomer who absolutely loved Nana! Doggy play dates, beach trips, daily walks, hiking and playing fetch were all bonus duties for me. If we weren’t playing outside, I’d be sure to show Nana affection with belly rubs, paw massages and head scratches. My love for dogs extends beyond Nana. I love interacting with almost any dog I come across whether it belongs to a stranger walking on the street or a family friend.
