Pet care experience
My pet setting journey began when I would house sit on the weekends and holidays for my old HS boarding school professors in Poughkeepsie while I was in college. Because they were so familiar with me, I would house sit often when they would go away for the school holidays, & I learned to create a trustworthy relationship between me and other dog sitting clients that I’ve cared for. My love for animals, reliability and consistency in my work are also other things that I feel sets me apart from other sitters/walkers. I am a very patient person and empathic by nature, so I am sensitive to the pets and their needs. I currently work part time, via other platforms, so I am very flexible, since I can choose my schedule for the day. I am happy to work with you and your pets needs! Please specify if your pet is training (I.e.: crate training) and have any special dietary needs. I have ample room and a clean/organized space in my residence, for pets to feel as comfortable as if they were in their own homes. I am attentive to any special needs & usually have them in my line of sight at all times.

Dahieline took care of my 9 year old shih ztu for two weeks while I was away for a vacation. She was seriously excellent. It was his first time being boarded so he was pretty skittish at first, but she was able to quickly make him so comfortable and happy as if I didn’t even leave him. Her communication was the best, and all the daily updates of my dog playing or on a walk really helped me actually enjoy my trip. She even went out of her way to find the specific product he needed from the pet store at one point. Overall she’s incredibly attentive, compassionate, patient, and understanding. It is so clear Dahieline genuinely cares about your dog and will go above and beyond for them if needed. I’m so thankful and impressed!!

Dee was absolutely amazing! She took care of my very energetic giant schnauzer for several weeks while I was away on a business trip. I know she can be a lot to handle at times but Dahieline has the patience of a saint. She loves to play, ALOT and Dee made it work by including my dog in her daily workouts and outdoor trips fishing and hiking. My dog loves her and she loves Luna, so it’s a match made in heaven. I can definitely say I trust her any day to care for my baby.
D has provided me with excellent service! She is prompt for dog walks and maintains excellent communication with boardings. She loves animals and has taken great care of my fur pets. I would definitely recommend!

A typical day
I live close to my local park, so that’s always the first go to when we begin our day. A fun session at the park always helps set the tone for the day. Other fun activities include accompanying me hiking/fishing, as well as regular park activities such as fly ball and frisbee playing. And for our downtime, some cuddles and affection for the win!
