I am a lover of all animals. I strive to keep boundaries and behavior respectful from the dogs and horses I have trained over the years. Keeping to your pet's usual routine is what I strive for! I have had a few clients tell me that I have kept their dog more busy than anyone has before!
Information Cyra C. would like to know about your pet
Please reach out with any questions or special requests for ways I can help make your life easier by taking care of your pet in a specific way. Additional Pertinent information: I try to keep daily activities close to the pets regular routine in your home to keep them happy. Even the chillest of dogs can be a bit overwhelmed when their family is away, so keeping their routine is a good start. Standard night includes dinner and breakfast feeding, needed medication administration, as many potty breaks as needed, a longer walk ranging anywhere from 30 min-90 min depending on your dogs fitness level and my schedule, and openhearted adoration. Your pup will never be short on affection! I truly believe in pets, belly rubs, occasional treats and unlimited cuddles as part of the daily routine. For a booking request: Please enter the times that you would like me to cover into the booking directly. Then we can agree and coordinate more specifically days of your departure and arrival. Happy to offer a meet and greet for walk throughs, to get acquainted and make sure that I can provide the best service to you and your beloved pets. Clear communication is my top priority. Before confirming a first-time booking, I find it is best practice to discuss all care routines and expectations in detail so I can provide the high-quality, personalized attention your pet deserves and you are looking for. For house management notes: I am happy to help coordinate needs for your home (i.e. trash, signed deliveries, bringing in mail and packages, house plants, etc) within reasonable time requests. I will ask you about this when we meet: Some to be written down and shared on your pet information sheet. Feeding amounts, medication and timing if applicable, known allergies, emergency contacts, local contact if you have one, preferred vet clinic, Wifi, their “scary”list (ie. Thunder, garbage truck, adorable children etc), walking, treat and feeding etiquette rules and any hidden quirks of the home.
A typical day
Happy to take the dogs out for hikes and around the neighborhoods. I love a good game of fetch. If you want I can bring them to a dog park as well. Once I get to know you and your dog well I would be more than happy to bring them on longer hikes and adventures with me if I can!

Pet Sitting? I'm a Farm Girl
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Cyra and I have been an animal lover my entire life! I was born and raised on a farm and have lived with an assortment of animals over the years. As a kid we always had four dogs, a couple cats, many horses and too many chickens to count. I was the kid of the director of our local animal shelter, so while normal kids went to before and after care at school I was at the animal shelter before and after school everyday handling and socializing animals. We fostered many animals even pregnant ones where I have helped deliver cats, dogs and horses. In college I worked at a veterinary practice and gained a strong appreciation for our pets preventative healthcare and the extensive breadth to taking care of injured pets. I have an extensive background in training horses and feel that this knowledge and experience has transferred over well when training dogs. I have attended puppy training classes and taught my own dogs growing up an assortment of commands and tricks. I have run countless miles with a canine companion and would love to bring your dog for runs as well if that is their usual! I am comfortable and confident taking care of all sorts of animals. From turkeys and goats to horses and dogs I would be happy to talk about what support I can provide.
Reviews

Cyra was amazing. She took care of my dog who has just returned from 3 days in the hospital — he needed lots of meds and extra care with stairs, walking , etc. She was so responsible and caring and I would recommend her in a second.

Cyra took great care of my pup while I was away and sent adorable photos and updates throughout!

Amazing. She is on time, follows instructions, sent lots of pictures and went on big hikes with my dog. The house was in perfect condition when I got home. Would love to have her house sit again.
Cyra is absolutely wonderful! She's very attentive and responsive and my pooch was well taken care of :)
