Happy tails

Pet care experience

Dogs trust me almost immediately. I easily form strong bonds with the dogs I care for. I go the extra mile to give them a particular level of devotion. I am exceptionally reliable. I receive enthusiastic appreciation from their parents, especially when they see how happy their dogs are when they return. Please read my reviews. I have experience with calm and gentle dogs, and also with headstrong dogs, and I do enjoy a challenge. I can be firm, when required. I tend to be very calm in difficult and emergency situations. I have cared for single dogs, two dogs, and up to a pack of 5 dogs overnight for weeks at a time, from terriers, to pit bulls, pugs and bulldogs, to labs and retrievers. I volunteer with children at Nearby Nature here in Eugene and kids trust me too.

Cynthia did a wonderful job with everything I asked her and more. She gave our dog Shasta lots of time and attention, and managed to interact with our shy and skitty cat as well. She also took very good care of our flower and vegetable garden. We were gone for our first ever two week trip to Europe, and she put my mind at ease with several pics and notes from home. I would highly recommend her and use her again.

Marvelous. She is dependable, communicative, and genuinely cares for pets. Cynthia has watched our Pit twice now and she has done a phenomenal job. House was clean and linens were washed prior to our return-- and most importantly, our dog did not appear stressed and was happy as a clam upon our arrival. Cynthia was very responsive with texts, even jogging with our pup if she was anxious. I was most impressed when our flight was delayed and she stayed an extra night with minimal notice. Overall, I would recommend her for any pet watching needs.

Cynthia was a terrific house/pet sitter for me and I would definitely request her again in the future! She sent many pictures of the pets having fun, took our dog on many walks and made sure they were well cared for during the week. She left our house more clean then when she arrived there which is much appreciated! I would highly recommend her for pet or house sitting. Thanks Cynthia!

Cynthia was amazing! She bonded instantly with Maddy and sent me daily updates with pics. The house was spotless when I got home, sheets washed and bed made, and Maddy was tuckered out from all of the ball play in the back yard. I would totally recommend Cynthia to anyone. I just hope she is available the next time that I have to leave town for a week. :).

Information Cynthia W. would like to know about your pet

First I would want to know the basics: walk time(s), feeding times, the dog's usual schedule. Then I would like to know the particulars about this individual dog: likes and dislikes, behavior patterns, particular commands, what is the most fun. And anything else important that the parent wants me know

A typical day

I prefer to walk dogs on the many trails around the ridge line in South Eugene, for example. Dog parks can be very muddy and rather disgusting, but I am happy to take them there if it is preferred. Wayne Morse is a cleaner more open park for dogs to run and socialize. I am also happy to take a walk around the neighborhood. Many dogs love a trip in the car and I take them on drives. I can play ball for hours if this is a favorite. A swim in a hot day is also a special treat for water dogs, with permission.
