I first started dog sitting when my sweet Sky died in 2019. For over a year I was blessed to have many wonderful dogs in my home. On Sky’s death anniversary, a feral cat I’d been working on chose to walk into my home. Peeps is now a full time loving indoor cat. Sadly, I had a stressful experience with an aggressive dog (owner wasn’t honest about behaviour) that put Peeps in danger despite him being in a separate room. After that, it was difficult to have dogs stay with us, especially since Peeps is now used to being by my side. I do miss spending time with dogs, though so I’ve decided to get back on Rover for occasional in home weekend visits/dog walking. Rate is dependent on location, care for pet, and hours needed. On rare occasions, I may accept a dog who is good with cats in my home. A paid one night trial will be necessary. I look forward to connecting to learn more about your pet. My Original Post from 2019 My girl of 13 years made her transition. I will one day adopt a dog again, but for now I am happy to host, love, and walk your sweet friend. I appreciated this service when I went on vacation and I am happy to give back. I live in a dog friendly community and work from home most of the time. I have a fenced back yard that dogs love to explore. Unfortunately, I cannot take certain breeds due to renting. Dogs with separation anxiety, not friendly with cats or aggression towards adult humans are not a good fit. On the weekends I am away from the house for 5 hours.
