I have two Fur-Buddies: one much older that is diabetic, blind and very prone to accidents, and a younger one, which is very protective and territorial. In fact he can be down right cantankerous with new people. He can also become more rumbustious than a barrel of monkeys I have recently accepted a new job position and was pulled away on a last minute business trip. Normally a family member would watch my buddies but were not available. Because of the special needs of the older, I would not separate nor place in a kennel. A coworker told me about ROVER. It was though this site that I met my new angel, Cynthia. WOW…how lucky for me! I was very concerned about leaving my special-needs bundle with a “Newbie”…in fact downright uncomfortable. The first day I was was awaiting to receive a call from Cynthia saying….”Ummm, you little bundle of joy needs to be medicated, and the older one should just be put down…I’m out of here, sorry, and good luck. “ Instead, it was anything but. Without me prompting, she placed my mind and heart at ease sending several video clips and photos of their walks, playtime and naptimes. She would send me a texts informing me that she gave medications without me reminding her. When I returned home, my tribe of terror greeted me, and a new, pleasant and fresh aroma filled our home. As a pet owner, I must have become desensitized to the pheromones and scents of our little man-cave. Cynthia said that it was a little stuffy (I think her polite way of saying your house stank) so she had applied a rug deodorizer and ran my vacuum. Totally above her job responsibilities, and done not to humiliate me, but out of kindness, to make my life more comfortable. I will be spending more time traveling with my new position, but the boys and me welcome Cynthia as a new addition to our family. On a 5 star rating scale, she is a 9. Would I recommend her...YES, Would I rehire…YES
