Growing up I've always had dogs around, they are like family to me. For a while I even considered a job as a veterinarian. Life lead me in a different direction though so I am currently a medical assistant trying to finish school to become a nurse. I currently have two Australian Shepherd babies and I've worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes from teacup chihuahua's to great danes. Since I do work in the medical field I am comfortable assisting with any special medication needs that may be required. When I pick up a dog for a walk I try to set a time that is appropriate for the dog. Younger more energetic dogs need more time out to burn energy, if we don't go for a walk I like to at least take them to the dog park to run around for 45 minutes to an hour. Older dogs with less energy can handle a shorter 25 to 35 minute exercise. I would love to spend time and help with your fur babies. I myself have used this site and find it to be very useful when going out of town. I know it is a great comfort to know someone will be there to take care of your babies just as you would.
