Honest, reliable pet sitter w/ref

Pet care experience

Both my husband and I grew up in a family with dogs. At first, we began dog sitting to offer assistance to friends and family while they travel. However, now, we find that it is also a great way for my puggle to have new friends visit on occasion! I have worked in animal hospitals over the years off an on part-time, so I am comfortable around all breeds. We are comfortable administering medications and injections if needed as well. However we are unable to care for pets with any sort of anxiety, or separation anxiety, or that have been destructive to property if left alone in the past. My home is uncluttered, clean, non-smoking and comfortable. I look forward to serving you and your pets!

I wouldn't recommend Cynthia to anyone who wants a reliable and trustworthy dog sitter. When we first met, we agreed that she or her husband would stay at our house or bring my dog to her house so he wouldn't be alone much, if at all, over the holiday weekend. I received a message on my way home from vacation saying that the night before (new years eve) they let my dog out around 6:30pm and her husband didn't get back to my house until after 1:30am but she couldn't remember what time exactly. During our initial meet and greet, I specifically asked if her and her husband were OK with spending NYE apart and they said 'of course they were.' That obviously wasn't the case. In addition to the message I received above, she said there was some 'damage' to my house because of their neglect. Luckily my dog didn't seem hurt when I got home but he did manage to eat through one door, damaged another and caused other miscellaneous damage throughout my house. Like most dogs, mine doesn't do well with fireworks but is fine when someone is around to comfort him. This was the main reason why I confirmed with the sitter that my dog wouldn't be left home alone, assuming it would be hectic on new years eve. Unfortunately, that wasn't what actually happened. Yes, the sitter paid to fix the damage to my house but no one wants their dog to go through what mine did based on the damage that was done. Maybe you'll have a better experience than I did using her services but is it worth the risk?

Cynthia did an outstanding job with Rudy although he can be difficult to deal with. She kept me informed and it put my mind at ease. I will definitely use her again.

Cynthia is the most wonderful dog sitter. Sophie (our dog) was a rescue so she's usually a little nervous when we start packing up but she absolutely loves being with Cynthia. I recommend Cynthia without any hesitation at all. She is amazing and truly loves her little furry friends!

It would be ideal if your dog (s) are friendly with other dogs. Since I have a 5 year old puggle, that is friendly with other dogs, that is important. Otherwise, I can come to your home to care for your pet. However I am unable to care for pets with anxiety, or separation anxiety, or that are destructive to property if left alone.

A typical day

I enjoy walking in the neighborhood and at area parks with my dog and our guests. I am always up for a game of tug of war and fetch in the back yard.
