Hi there! My name is Cynthia and I am a huge animal lover. Since becoming a freelance pet caretaker in spring 2018, I have worked with a large range of cats and dogs, including puppies, kittens, anxious pets, rescues, those requiring oral medications, and elderly dogs and cats. I am very happy to send pictures/video and updates throughout your time away. I am hoping to put my care and attentive skills to good use taking care of your fluffy loved ones. I would love nothing more than to pet your cat by a rainy window or walk with your dog along a trail! I am mature and responsible, with lots of love and care to share. I am fluent in both canine and feline body language, and I know how positively animals respond to a warm, calm, respectful presence. Your pets can peacefully relax in their own home and you can relax knowing they are being well taken care of. I currently work 8am-2pm Monday to Friday as a dog walker bringing groups of dogs on adventure hikes in the North Shore and am extending my animal skills and caring nature into cat and dog care during my non-work hours. This does restrict which clients I can accept for housesitting (pets must be okay alone at home for 6ish hours depending on commute). **COVID-19 UPDATE** Given the current situation, I have adopted some policies for housesitting, home visits, and dog walking to help reduce the potential spread of the virus. I have training in infection control and sanitary hygiene procedures. I will: - remove outerwear at the door and wash my hands thoroughly immediately upon entering - wash/disinfect doorknobs, light switches, litter scoop handles, alarm buttons, anything else I might touch before leaving - happily adopt an alternative cleaning/disinfecting procedure if you have one you prefer - inform you immediately if I am feeling unwell, offer a full refund, and assist in finding a replacement sitter/walker Please feel free to reach out with inquiries, I am happy to meet up virtually or over the phone with no commitments to make sure it's a good fit.
