Updated 3/1/21. Established, private pet sitter. I provide a variety of pet services with the experience to make your pet feel at ease while you are gone. I started working with animals at vet clinics throughout my college years. I have 3 dogs of my own and would give your pet(s) the care they deserve! I have a certificate in obedience training from Animal Behavioral College. Recently, I have been very involved in As Good as Gold - Golden Retriever Rescue of Illinois and Southwest Golden Rescue. I've held positions on the Board and was Foster Coordinator, Foster Family Advisor and involved in many other aspects of the organization. I work with any behavioral and physical/medical issues your pet may have. I can accommodate last minute requests and additional services, such as transportation, light grooming, etc.--just ask. I can board your pet at my home, come to your home (1 hr. minimum), provide walks, feeding, medications. I can do overnight sitting along with house sitting as a bundled service. Cyndee trained my dogs and has been watching them many times over the years she treats them like her own and is very attentive and caring.
I've known Cyndee since 2011 when I became a foster volunteer for As Good as Gold - Golden Retriever rescue of Illinois. Not only did Cyndee offer sound advice when I was given challenging dogs to foster, she took in many of my fosters when I had to travel. As a board member of our organization, Cyndee has been instrumental in our growth and the rescue and adoption of more that 2,200 dogs. Her knowledge of canine behavior and training methods is matched only by her dedication to the wellbeing and comfort for all dogs. I can't think of anyone I'd trust more the care of my own Golden Retrievers.
Cyndee has fostered and been a part of As Good as Gold Golden Retriever Rescue and has dealt with all kinds of dogs in her fostering experience. She has had fearful, breeder dogs, young dogs with behavior issues and many other types of dogs in her care. She has done an amazing job getting all of the dogs ready for their forever homes with her experience. She will be a wonderful asset to your service!
Cyndee is an experienced dog handler and I trust my dogs in her care. She has years of experience and training. She has worked with rescue and successfully trained high energy, active dogs as well as fearful shut down dogs, all with a lot of patience and compassion.

No breed preference. I'd like to know if your pet has any nuisance behaviors like digging, chewing, barking, jumping, food guarding, etc. As well as, things they like and don't like. Medical conditions, medications, treat choices, allergies, activities preferred and anything else that will make your pet more comfortable while you are gone. Please bring your dog's food, etc. for sleepovers.
A typical day
Fetch is always a favorite. Depending on your dog's personality there are many options to stimulate them on a visit, such as tracking, retrieving, basic obedience, etc. There is pool time and a 1-acre lot (fenced) to snoop around in. Plenty of room in the house or on the lanai to relax. Air conditioning is on in the house for hot days.
