Availability
I work as a part-time freelance gardener, and create my own schedule and routine each week. It is a fluid and flexible schedule, and my work usually happens between 9am - 1pm or 10am - 2pm now that the weather is cooling down. The longest I garden for at a time is about 4 hours. Caring for pets and animals can happen around that time, and/or a pet’s schedule and routine can be prioritized first within this work schedule of mine. I’m quite a homebody, and do love to sing, cook, write/read and more. I’m taking classes online and go to bed between 9-10pm.

I work with whatever set-up and routine the dog is familiar with. I am comfortable and confident in walking dogs on-leash, or off, taking dogs to the park and throwing a ball or on hikes if places are near-by, walking in the neighborhood etc. Spending playtime/fetch at home is great fun too! I’m up for it all. I’m familiar with gentle leaders, various collars, and re-call techniques. If I’m pet sitting overnight I’m up for adhering to the pet’s needs likes/dislikes, the only exception being that I don’t sleep with dogs in the same bed. Other than that I’m prepared to give medication, special food, and any other extra needs your pet requires❤️

A typical day
Let’s play ball, fetch, go to the dog park, practice commands and exercises, go for a river swim or whatever else your animal likes and needs. I love taking dogs to Sailor Bar for a walk or swim.

Pet care experience
I am a big-time nature and animal lover, with experience caring for dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and goats. I grew up with dogs (retrievers and vizslas primarily) and fell in love with cats when I lived with a housemate who had a cat in 2016. Also in 2016 I began walking dogs for Wag! while living in San Francisco. It was during this time that I walked an array of different doggies, some rescues, puppies, and senior dogs. Just this past year I spent 6 months on a homestead in northern California learning how to milk goats and make cheese. While I was there, I took care of the goats, cats, chickens and ducks-giving them supplements, food and feed, cleaning their yards/pens, clipping their wings and hooves and of course giving them lots of love! I currently housesit for TrustedHousesitters, and have my own private clients that I housesit for. Animals, both domestic and non-domestic are an essential part of my life and a crucial part of the environment. I could not live day-to-day without them!

Cydney was immensely supportive. When I booked, my cat was healthy. When the time came, Cleo needed way more care. Cydney stepped up and covered everything like a professional. I'll have her back.
Cydney was awesome! We are new to rover and the area and needed a dog sitter in a pinch for our 12 year old pup! When our sitter had to cancel last minute, we decided to check out rover, and ultimately landed on Cydney’s profile. Cydney kept us updated while we were out of town and left everything just as we had left it if not better. We plan to use her again in the future.
Cydney was so great with our old dog and made sure he was happy and well cared for. She was so great making sure our cats had food, water and were content even though they hid the whole time. When we came home our dog was happy, our house was clean and taken care of. We would definitely hope she’s available next time we’re out of town!
