Pet care experience
!! I’ve relocated from MN to the Elgin area; I am back on ROVER & helping care for my in-laws’ aging pup Jake !! Growing up I cared for our Dachshund and then our two Great Danes. In college I had a lab mix as a roommate. Once married, but before having children, we raised, trained, and cared for our pug from a puppy until he was taken by cancer 15 years later. Since Leo’s difficult death, we have never tried to replace him, and now I find joy in living vicariously through my brother and sister-in-law enjoying time with their rescues and most recently their three bulldogs. Now retired, from nearly 30 years of federal service, I have time that I can share with many other dogs.

When Curt accepts our request for services we know we have entrusted our pets’ care to someone who is committed to their well being and will attend to them in the manner we have instructed. As for our dogs (3), they love when Curt comes to visit. They know they will receive long belly rubs and head scratches.
You couldn't ask for a better sitter! Curt is dependable and a great communicator. He will carefully follow instructions and ask for clarity in the care plan as needed. You won't meet a more reliable sitter. Owners and dogs will greatly appreciate his love of dogs as he pours his heart into the work.

Being retired facilitates a flexible schedule, which permits me to take advantage of part time and/or temporary opportunities. It is anticipated that pet care events will dictate my daily schedule and be prioritized.
