Pet care experience

I board one dog at a time except if they are siblings. I provide all the love and care they need all the time I have been blessed with five wonderful dogs throughout my adult life, all of them rescued. One with diabetes and seizures so I know how to react in emergencies. I am an experienced walker, a loving companion and a consistent handler. I love them, will cuddle them, but I rule!

Cristina was absolutely wonderful! This was our first experience with Rover, and with leaving our pup home while we travel (rather than boarding with friends or family). Cristina came over several times in advance of our travel to meet our dog and familiarize herself with her daily needs, routine, and behavior. Our pup is very timid, so I was glad to have this opportunity to ensure she was comfortable and that Cristina wasn't a stranger to her. During our travel, we received short videos or pictures of our pup twice a day, giving us peace of mind that she was well looked-after. We would definitely book with Cristina again, and would recommend her to others.

We left our beloved pup with Cristina for 14 days while we traveled to Thailand and India. I was nervous to leave her with a new Rover for such a long trip, but my fears were immediately alleviated thanks to frequent updates with photos and videos. Cristina treated Piper as if she was part of her own family. We’ll definitely book again the next time we go out of town.

I would like to meet the pet and his/her family and understand their dynamic and how things work. Also, I'd require a written list of medications (if needed) as well as feeding instructions. I do not have any breed preference, I do prefer pets that are trained and behave properly.

A typical day

We can have short walks around the neighborhood but I'd like to take them to Umstead where we will hike and have "searching adventures" or Leesville Park, to play catch, run, visit with other doggies etc, but we will also have cozy petting times when we would watch TV while having a rub or a brush, Sometimes we will go on rides in the car too as I love to have sightseeing car trips.
