**DO NOT BOOK THIS SITTER** Long story short, we booked Cristina for house sitting from Friday morning to Sunday evening. We even paid the extended stay fee so she would stay until we got home. Our rescue dog, Marley, is very anxious and experiences pretty severe separation anxiety when we leave so we always want to make sure someone stays with her the whole time we're gone and doesn't leave her for more than 1-4 hours (which we noted in the booking details and care information section). We left on Friday morning and thought everything was great! Cristina sent many pictures at once, making us believe that she was spending lots of time with Marley. We did notice that Marley looked anxious in the pictures, but we figured she was just getting used to Cristina being at our house and didn't think much of it. Little did we know, she looked anxious in the pictures because Cristina was stopping by for about 15 minutes at a time, taking pictures, and leaving again. We didn't find this out until our landlord texted us saying that our neighbors complained to her about nonstop barking for two days, even overnight. They thought we abandoned Marley. We immediately messaged Cristina to ask and she admitted she hadn't been staying at our house, but that she had kept Marley fed and let her out and said that Marley hadn't been barking. It was heartbreaking reviewing our Ring security camera footage and hearing Marley barking and crying for hours. It was shocking to see that Cristina only came by once every 12 hours one of the days (and left Marley alone overnight for 13 hours on Saturday from 11:15 pm Saturday to 12:15 pm Sunday!!). This means that Marley was not being let out or fed for 13 hours and she had not received her morning medication. This is unacceptable behavior and should not be tolerated by Rover. Not only should we get a refund but Cristina should not be allowed to be responsible for other pet owners' dogs. She completely ignored our request that Marley only be left alone for 1-4 hours (as noted in the booking details) and our care instructions that say Marley gets anxious when left alone. Cristina was never open with us or clear about her intentions to stay at her own home and check in with Marley for 20 minutes at a time. I honestly wonder how many other dog owners she has done this with without their knowledge. If we had not received a complaint from our landlord and neighbors on Sunday afternoon, we probably would never have thought to check our Ring camera and we might never have known that this happened. We have never had a bad experience with Rover in the past but this experience has made us terrified to ever leave Marley alone with a sitter again, especially a sitter from Rover. If you love your dog, do not leave them with her!!

I feel like Etta James "At Last" should be playing while I write this review! Cristina was a JOY to work with. I was gone for a week and had absolutely no worries at all for my pets. Daily messages with pics and videos of a very happy dog and cat. I actually feel like they were spoiled (in the good way!). When I returned home, they wondered why they could not get treats on demand. I've already booked future stays with Cristina and am looking forward to forging a lasting relationship with her and my furry peeps.
