My name is Cristin, and I live in Waltham. I have experience caring for wide range of animals, from puppies to seniors to special needs pets. I've also worked as a volunteer training service dogs. My former apartment didn’t allow pets, so I got my animal snuggles by doing drop-ins through Rover. Now that I own, I love hosting pets at my place, too. I'm a naturally patient person, and the most important thing I've learned through years of care is that every animal has a unique personality and set of needs, and I have the patience and adaptability to meet them where they are. I host only one pet at a time (unless the pets are already known to get along), which can be great for pets who don't play well with others. My high level of patience can also soothe nervous and special-needs pets. Included with my boarding fee is: • A safe, attentive environment with no other pets in residence • A personalized schedule for your pet to maintain their routine as much as possible • The exercise your dog needs, including trips to a dog park if you'd like • Constant access to a fenced-in yard • Generic treats, plus use of toys and bowls • Sustainable cleanups with 100% biodegradable poop bags and eco-friendly stain remover • Reinforcement of your training, if you’d like • Nearly constant personalized attention! Both household members work at least partly from home. I make a point of being as flexible as possible with pickup and drop off times. I have a flexible, work from home schedule, so I can offer nearly constant personalized attention. *Please note that due to the demand for full-weekend care, I'm no longer able to accept single night requests for weekends. My fully fenced-in yard is perfect for small and medium-sized dogs. I have plenty of space for a crate if your dog is crate-trained, and I don't crate otherwise. My house is cozy and quiet (no children or pets in residence, and I only host one dog at a time) but I play with pets as long as they like and can make trips to a nearby dog park. I can normally offer up to an hour of walking per day, with additional options for high energy dogs. I'm fully vaccinated for Covid-19, but I can wear a mask during our meetups if that's most comfortable for you.
