While I lived in DC, I house sat and walked my friend's dogs for nearly two years. The Longest time I house sat and cared for a small dog and two cats was nearly two weeks. House sitting involved feeding the cats and dog. Walking the dog early morning before work, after work, and a short walk before bed. Taking care of the cats involved cleaning the cat's litter box and feeding them early morning and after work. When the dog was sick, I also put eye drops on her eyes. On weekends, I would play catch with the dogs behind the house. The second dog that I watched was a small dog that feared nearly everything, but she was super friendly if she knew you. We would go on walks around DC and explore her favorite places.
