I was born and raised just outside of Seattle Washington, growing up surrounded by almost any type of pet one can think of. I spent much of my childhood caring for not only dogs and cats, but pets such as frogs, fish, horses, and pigeons. My parents had to set limits to the amount of pets I cared for, bringing home strays and things like Minos and toads after school. I have a love for animals and enjoy caring for them, bringing me joy to provide a great life for any type of animal. As I grew into my teenage years I spent much of my time after school and weekends helping out at a farm behind our home, caring for the horses. When I wasn’t feeding or cleaning stalls I was at any one of the neighbors houses caring for their pets while they were on vacation or working. I never looked at these moments as just cash in my pocket but a way to spend time with pets and to be doing something I enjoyed. Since I have moved to a few large cities while spending my young adult years exploring the United States and Canada. I spent a couple of years with out a pet of my own since Vancouver does not have many pet friendly apartment buildings, but I always found someone in need of a pet sitter and spent my time caring for others loved ones. Now that I have landed in Chicago for the next few years I have adopted my own fuzzy companion. A beautiful tortoise shell cat, named Franky. She is the love of my life and I am excited to come home after work every day to see my little ray of sunshine.
