Retired and home with my own dogs.

Pet care experience

As a dog owner that traveled a lot I was always nervous about leaving my dogs. Murphy, my rescue, had separation anxiety. Although both my dogs are crate trained I didn't like the fact most commercial boarders crate from early evening to early morning. I think dogs need a social life and interaction with other dogs. It is stressful enough when you leave your dog, not just for you but your furry friend. I try to create an environment that makes the boarding a second home. Now that I am retired and home everyday and can be as flexible as possible to cater to your dogs individual needs. I have been on Rover for about 18 months and have developed a great group of clients so I want to make sure your dog is a good match not just with my dogs but other dogs that might be boarding. I don't accept every request for this reason. Rover marks me down for not booking request but I think it is important to put dog and owner first. As an example I only accept dogs after a meet and greet. My minimum size is 20 lbs, not down to 16 like the Rover categories. Certain breeds don't do well with smaller dogs so I only accept when its a good match.

Always a great stay with Craig! Our Tandy enjoys his time with his Rover friends as well. Thanks for taking great care of him once again!

Craig is wonderful! Craig is very Knowledgeable, experienced, and super friendly. He took good care of our big shy boy and made extra efforts to help him adjust and feel fit in the group. Craig keeps us well informed with daily updates and pictures. It is invaluable to have the peace of mind that our boy is in good hands while we are away! We will be booking the next stay with him soon!

From my overall view his stay was great. Craig introducted Magic to the Gental aaLeader which I had just purchased. No I just have to continued using it. What a difference in walking him this morning. The dog along just fine together. Can’t wait to use him again.

Craig was great! He gave me tips and advice on how to help me get my new pup adjusted. He was a wealth of knowledge and super friendly. He was willing to watch Buddy even though he was recently neutered and still wearing his cone. Craig gave me great updates throughout the day. His two dogs were well mannered and friendly. I look forward to taking Buddy back for a proper play day once he’s fully healed.

I only accept new dogs after a meet and greet to make sure it will be a good fit. I would like to know if the dog has any special needs, feeding habits and their exercise routine.

A typical day

There are a number of parks near by. I normally take my dogs on a morning walk about 2 miles then in the evening to dog park or play day with their friends. For visiting dogs I tailor activity based on the owners instructions.
